Dr. Sahba Jalali

Raised in Columbia, Dr. Jalali attended Fairview Elementary, Jefferson Junior High and graduated from Hickman High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and his Doctor of Optometry from University of Missouri-St. Louis. He interned at Washington University and Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. Dr. Jalali has extensive post-graduate training and experience in the areas of laser vision correction and orthokeratology. With years of experience as a family eye care practitioner, Dr. Jalali knows how to treat unique eye problems. As an optometrist, he goes beyond the expected, into a holistic approach exploring the role of nutrition, supplementation, and lifestyle in eye disease prevention. Whether you need a routine eye exam or more complicated procedures like Lasik, Dr. Jalali and his team have the experience and skills to provide the right treatment for you.

Dr. Morgan PooreDr. Jalali and our staff are excited to welcome Dr. Morgan R. Poore as the newest member of our Advanced Vision team. Trained in the latest advances in eye care, Dr. Poore brings an exceptional level of vision care and eye health services. Dr. Morgan Poore shares our commitment to the most advanced vision technologies with the care and attention all members of our team deliver.

Dr. Poore graduated with distinction from the University of Missouri College of Optometry in St. Louis. While in school, Dr. Poore was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society, American Optometric Association, Missouri Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometry, and Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. Upon graduation, Dr. Poore was awarded the Contact Lens Clinical Award for excellence in clinical skills, patient communication and interest in research. She also received the Student ambassador award for exceptional service as a student ambassador for the College of Optometry. In addition, she was granted the Missouri Optometric Foundation Clinical Optometry Scholarship Award for overall excellence in clinical skills. Dr. Poore brings a passion for maintaining and improving eye health, especially in the treatment of ocular disease, dry eye and other ocular surface conditions, astigmatic/bifocal contact lenses and myopia control.

Dr. Poore was raised in Sullivan, Missouri. Dr. Poore and her husband, Kris, reside in the Columbia community with their two dogs and two cats. Dr. Poore knows that community pride runs deeper than just the practice of optometric services. She has quickly integrated into the Columbia Chamber of Commerce, actively participates in the Women’s Network and supports the Battle High School Boosters with her husband. Dr. Poore is active in the Central Missouri Optometric Society, Missouri Optometric Association and American Optometric Association and is active in continuing education to stay updated with the latest advances in eye care. In her spare time, Dr. Poore can be found running, kayaking, playing with her animals or at the baseball field watching her husband coach.
